Terms of Service

Last updated: June 1, 2026

The short version: Use Nook for its intended purpose, don't abuse it, and you can cancel anytime. We provide the software as-is and do our best to keep it reliable.

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using Nook, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the extension. These Terms apply to the free trial and to Nook Pro.

2. The service

Nook is a browser extension that organizes tabs, saves sessions, and customizes your new tab page. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the product.

3. Free trial and subscriptions

  • The 30-day trial unlocks all Pro features with no payment details required.
  • After the trial, you can subscribe to Nook Pro monthly or yearly.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime.
  • If you don't subscribe, Pro features simply lock - your local data stays on your device.

4. Payments and refunds

Paid plans are billed through the store or processor you purchase from. If you're not happy within 14 days of a Pro purchase, contact us for a full refund. Renewals can be cancelled before the next billing date to avoid further charges.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute Nook except as allowed by law.
  • Use Nook to violate any law or third-party rights.
  • Attempt to disrupt or abuse our infrastructure.

6. Your content

Your sessions, bookmarks, and settings are yours. We claim no ownership over them. You're responsible for the links and content you choose to save.

7. Availability

We aim for Nook to be reliable, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Cloud sync depends on services that may occasionally be unavailable.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Nook is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, or for lost data beyond what you paid in the previous 12 months. Always keep your own backups of anything critical.

9. Termination

You can stop using Nook anytime by removing the extension. We may suspend access for serious violations of these Terms. On termination, you can export your data first.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll revise the date above and notify you of material changes. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
